Rutger Hemoglobin wants a new house, but he’s not sure how to build it! Should it be the most colorful? The scariest? The smallest? The one that will scare Duke Exeter out of his armor? It's up to you to decide.
To help, we've asked Rutger to come up with some inspirational art to give you a few ideas!
Over the next three weeks, you will build Rutger's new home on a property of your choice. The house must be built in game but can be built on any property map and have pictures submitted to the Creation Lab!
After November 5, the LEGO Universe judging team will pick properties from the entries on the Creation Lab to visit in game. We will judge the properties in-game, by bringing our Minifigures on a haunted house tour! If we can't get to your property, we won't be able to consider it for judging!
Free to Play Players can compete in this competition by building on their Block Yard properties in Avant Garden. Members can build on any property they can access.
We will select ten winners for each age group.

How to take a screenshot from a PC:
1. Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.
2. Go to your "My Documents" folder and open up the "LEGO Creations" folder. Inside you will find a "Pictures" directory, which will contain all of your LEGO Universe screenshots! The most recent picture will be your screenshot that you have just taken!
3. Submit your screenshot through the Creation Lab!
How to take a screenshot from a Mac:
1. Hold down the "CMD" and "SHIFT" keys.
2. Press the number "3" key. The screenshot will automatically be saved to your desktop.

2. HOW TO ENTER:
Take a screenshot of a Spooky or Scary property on one of your LEGO Universe properties and send it in to the LEGO Universe team by the specified date. Screenshots of the entry must be submitted through your age group’s LEGO Universe Creation Lab on http://www.legouniverse.com between Friday, October 14 and Saturday, November 5 11:59 PM EDT. You many submit as many entries as you like, but no entrant will be awarded more than one prize. The time required to complete the necessary tasks will vary with the skill of the entrant. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received, and the skill of the entrant.
3. HOW TO WIN:
Once your Creation Lab entry has been approved, you will be automatically entered into the drawing; your property must open to visitors in-game between November 5 and November 11; there is nothing more you need to do. Winners will be selected by a panel of Judges from the LEGO Universe Judge Team, and will be notified by the Team. Entries will be judged based on originality and creativity of the entrant’s interpretation of the "Spooky Property" theme. Decisions will be based on the subjective opinions of the Judges, and will be final.
MANY WILL ENTER; FEW WILL WIN A PRIZE.
4. ELIGIBILITY:
This promotion is open to residents of the 50 United States plus the District of Columbia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada, except for the Province of Quebec. Employees of the LEGO Group, and members of their immediate families and households are not eligible to participate.
All national, regional, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
5. AWARD OF PRIZES:
Ten (10) winners aged 13 and over and ten (10) winners aged 12 and under will be picked from among all eligible entries on or about November 15, 2011 by members of the LEGO Universe Judge Team, whose decisions will be final.
